The Ricketts Center

RICKETTS CENTER BRIDGES TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS.

The Joe Ricketts Center in Electronic Commerce and Database Marketing, one of the nation’s first university centers of e-commerce, promotes information technology education and builds bridges with the business community.

The Center was established thanks to a generous gift from Creighton alumnus Joe Ricketts. Ricketts, who earned a B.A. in Economics in 1968, spent more than 35 years building and running TD Ameritrade, the world’s largest online brokerage and a leader in securities trading and clearing—headquartered in Omaha.

The Ricketts Center hosts professional development activities, such as the Information Technology in the Workplace conference. It also organizes the Executive Breakfast lectures, which bring students together with business leaders and the public.
