You are ready to advance your career goals by earning a graduate degree from the Heider College of Business. Once accepted, you have the option to start your studies at five different times during the calendar year.

Haven’t taken your GMAT? No worries. Through our conditional application, you may register for two courses (six credit hours) before you take the GMAT.

Admissions Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

Master's Programs

The requirements below generally apply to master’s programs within the Heider College of Business. Some programs have additional requirements that must be met. Find your program to see a complete list of requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completed application (requires $50 fee)
  • Official transcripts
  • Current resume
  • Personal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Acceptable GMAT score (not required for EMBA applicants)

Doctoral Program

Applicant must possess at least one of the following:

  1. Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
  2. Graduate or terminal degree in another discipline
  3. Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 or more years of business experience
  4. CPA certification and 5 or more years of business experience

In addition submit:

  • Completed Application (requires $50 fee)
  • Official transcripts
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Evidence of competency in statistics and quantitative reasoning. See program page for more information

Certificate Programs

The requirements below apply to graduate certificate programs within the Heider College of Business.

Applicants may or may not be required to provide a GMAT score, depending on their intended degree program, work experience and cumulative GPA. Please review the admissions requirements for your specific program for more details:

Conditional Admission

Haven’t taken the GMAT yet? Missing a prerequisite course like statistics? You may want to consider applying for conditional admission. This status allows you to take up to six hours of graduate level coursework before finalizing your formal application. However, you may not register for classes until the registration for formally admitted students has passed.

To apply for conditional admission, you must submit:

  • Personal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation

International Applicants

English Language Proficiency Requirements

English Language Proficiency is an important part of the application process for those whose first language is not English. The Faculty Admission Committee for each Creighton Graduate Program has the discretion to determine individual standards for how this requirement will be met using one or more of the following:

  • Your English language exam scores. See below for the exams currently allowed and minimum scores accepted.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree from one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Barbados, Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guam, Ireland, Jamaica, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Scotland, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States, and Virgin Islands.
  • Individual Graduate Programs have the discretion to utilize face-to-face interviews or other means to verify that English language proficiency has been met.

Certification of Available Finances

International applicants who are formally admitted must complete and submit a Certification of Available Finances Form through the Global Engagement Office.

Application Deadlines

In order to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed in time for your intended start date, international applicants should submit their materials three months prior to the beginning of the class.
