Biography

                  DEBORAH L. WELLS is Associate Professor of Management and Senior Associate Dean for Faculty & Academics at Creighton University’s Heider College of Business, where she also served as chair of the Marketing and Management Department from 1998 to 2005 and 2005 to 2008.  Dr. Wells was also Acting Dean during the 2004 – 2005 academic year. Dr. Wells was chosen for the Nebraska Women in Higher Education Leadership Sarah Boatman award for excellence in academic leadership in 2016, as well as the Mary Lucretia & Sarah Emily Creighton Award for women leaders in February of 2017.  She earned her PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Iowa State University in 1987.  Her primary areas of teaching include principles of management and human resources management at the undergraduate level, and organizational behavior and leadership at the MBA level.  Her research on HR issues and the intersection of ethics and HR appears in the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Vocational Behavior, the Journal of Business Ethics, Human Resources Management Review, Group and Organization Management, Human Resources Development Quarterly, and the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies
