South Africa Travel Course 2013

Discover South Africa: Business, Culture, and Sights

Come join us on a once-in-a-lifetime faculty-led travel course to South Africa! We will visit the cities of Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Pretoria. The trip wil be a mix of company visits, cultural experiences, and tourist activities. You will have the opportunity to visit companies and interact with executives and workers and learn about the leading role South Africa is playing, not only in Africa but also in the global economy. Visits are also planned to a number of cultural and historical venues in each city, including a safari/game drive, Robben Island, Soweto, and Table Mountain. Overall, this course provides a unique and exciting opportunity to learn about business in South Africa and experience the vibrancy of its people and culture. To optimize your travel experience, you will attend a number of class meetings held before the trip to study economical, cultural, and political issues of South Africa.

Course Dates: May 20, 2012 to May 31, 2012

Course Credit Hours: Course can be taken for three credit hours of graduate (MBA 779) or undergraduate (BUS 479) credit. Course also meets College of Business International Business requirements.

Application

Application Deadline: December 10th, 2012 on a first-come, first serve basis. The course is limited to fifteen (15) students.

Application Process:

  1. Complete the South Africa Travel Course Application Form.
  2. Submit the completed, printed application form and deposit to Ms. Mary Pojar in BA 446 by December 10th, 2012.
